The Kaldheim set introduced in February 2021 added some interesting cards to Magic: the Gathering, and one of them inspired me to create a deck. The deck turned out to be decent enough, fun to play and probably quite frustrating for opponents.
The key card here is Tergrid, God of Fright, one of the new modal dual-faced gods. One side of the card features the god, a legendary creature, and the other side is a related artifact. This is nice, because you can play both sides.
Tergrid‘s key feature is that whenever an opponent discards a permanent card or sacrifices a nontoken permanent, Tergrid lets you take that card and put it in play on your side. The rest is obvious: just load up the deck with all sorts of cards that make the opponent discared and sacrifice things.
