  • Essen games

Now, here’s the entry I’ve been meaning to write for a while now… Which games I’m looking forward to getting from Essen? First let me note that thanks to a deal I’ve got with Lautapelit.fi, Finland’s foremost board game retailer, I have little need to buy stuff I can get later cheaper. That includes Railroad…

  • New acquisitions: Turbo Taxi and Dvonn

I got new games today! Turbo Taxi was a must for me, I knew it from the description. After all, I love Ricochet Robot and this one’s right at the same league. Players must assemble a city road network using nine of their twelve pieces (everybody has the same set). There are few limits: the…

  • Air of expectation

Guess what! My copy of Antiquity began its journey from Essen (that’s where Allgames4you is located) to Tampere yesterday. I’m hoping it’ll make it here during next week, but we’ll see — it was sent to my old address, which I’m leaving Tuesday. I hope the redirect service won’t delay it until August… I’m quite…

  • Ordering games

It’s been a while, but here I am, contemplating an order from Germany. I get free games every month, but I want Geschenkt now, not later. I’m also intrigued by Mogul and Die Sieben Siegel. Of course, buying few small games from Germany just isn’t worth it, so I’ll have to buff the order up…

  • Fresh Fish

I was wondering what to grab this month from Lautapelit.fi. I had little idea, until I reached F in the list of games and noticed they had Fresh Fish. When it came out (from Plenary), I wanted to get it, but at the time Safe Haven didn’t have it and ordering from USA was (and…

  • Adam Spielt accepts money transfers

This is good news for gamers without credit cards: Adam Spielt accepts euro money transfers in addition to credit cards. Money transfer is fast, easy and cheap method of moving money from one place to another. However, for Finnish gamers looking mostly for single games, Lautapelit.fi and Peliarkku are probably better choices than ordering from…

  • New Finnish game store online

Lautapelit.fi (lautapelit is Finnish for board games), a new Finnish online game store opened it’s web site yesterday. It’s still bit unfinished, but it should work already. It’s run by the folks behind Safe Haven. I think it’s pretty neat. Prices should be a bit lower than in Safe Haven (that’s not the case right…

  • Need for games

I don’t really want new games right now. I’m somewhat unaware of the new Nürnberg titles — I know names, but little else. I know I want San Juan (and I have already made plans to get it without paying) and Hansa certainly seems to combine many positive aspects in one game, but that’s it.…

  • Few games coming my way

I ordered Attika and Finstere Flure today (from Spielenet, I got an offer to join an order so large there are no shipping costs). Attika was a must-buy, while deciding over FF took a while. It’s cool theme and neat mechanics combined with a reasonably low price made the decision quite easy in the end.

  • Adam Spielt order

Our latest Adam Spielt order has been made. Next week I should get the following games: PitchCar — A must after the Lahti weekend. Simply too much fun to miss this one. I wasn’t interested in this before I tried, it’s unbelievable how fun such a simple game can be. Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde…
